Apple Creator Studio Now Available: Price, Apps, AI Features and More

Apple 'Creator Studio' Brings Pro Creative Apps Into One Subscription

Apple has officially launched Creator Studio, a new subscription bundle aimed at video editors, musicians, designers, and creators who rely on Apple’s pro apps. Apple first revealed the bundle two weeks ago. Starting today, it is live.

Creator Studio costs $12.99 per month or $129 per year. The plan gives creators access to six Apple apps across Mac and iPad, along with new AI-powered tools that are not available in the standalone versions.

What’s Included in Apple Creator Studio

Creator Studio bundles Apple’s main creative apps into one subscription.

On Mac and iPad, the bundle includes:

On Mac only, it also includes:

Final Cut Pro focuses on video editing. Logic Pro handles music creation and audio production. Pixelmator Pro covers image editing and design. Apple acquired Pixelmator in 2024, and this release marks its deeper integration into Apple’s ecosystem.

Apple is still completing the rollout, but subscription links for Creator Studio versions of each app are now live. You can subscribe directly from inside any of these apps.

Standalone Apps Still Exist, but With Limits

Most of these apps already existed before today and remain available as standalone purchases. Pixelmator Pro for iPad is the only completely new app.

However, Creator Studio changes how features unlock. Apple now places its newest AI tools behind a subscription. Standalone versions will continue to receive updates, but they will not get the full feature set going forward.

In short, the subscription unlocks the complete experience.

Pricing, Trials, and Sharing Options

Apple does not offer single-app Creator Studio subscriptions. The bundle comes only as an all-in-one plan.

All new subscribers get a one-month free trial. Buyers of a new Mac or a qualifying iPad with an A16, A17 Pro, or M-series chip qualify for a three-month free trial.

The subscription supports Family Sharing with up to five additional members on the same Apple Account. Students and educators can subscribe at a discounted rate of $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year.

Software and Hardware Requirements

Creator Studio requires the latest Apple operating systems.

Full functionality works with:

  • iOS 26 or later
  • iPadOS 26 or later
  • macOS 26 or later

On Mac, most apps require macOS 15.6 and an M1 chip or newer. Pixelmator Pro on Mac specifically requires macOS 26.

On iPad:

  • Final Cut Pro requires an A16 chip or later
  • Logic Pro requires an A12 Bionic chip or later
  • Pixelmator Pro requires an A16 chip or later

Final Take

Creator Studio marks a clear shift in how Apple delivers its creative tools. The subscription bundles powerful apps, adds AI features across the board, and ties full functionality to ongoing access. For creators who already rely on Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro, the bundle reshapes how Apple’s pro software fits into daily work.
