Oceanhorn 3 Coming to Apple Arcade on March 5, with Three More New Games

Apple Arcade is adding a major release in March, led by Oceanhorn 3: Legend of the Shadow Sea. The long-running action RPG series returns with a full sequel that expands its world, story, and combat systems. The game arrives on March 5 and will be playable across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.

This release follows a busy period for the service. Apple Arcade recently added Civilization VII, along with several other titles. Now, the focus shifts to Oceanhorn 3, a project that stayed in development for five years and aims to push the franchise forward with a larger scope and deeper gameplay.

According to an official Apple press release, the game marks a major milestone for the series. Heikki Repo, creator of the Oceanhorn franchise and creative director at Cornfox & Brothers, said:

“The upcoming release of Oceanhorn 3: Legend of the Shadow Sea on Apple Arcade represents the culmination of five years of passionate work, bringing a brand-new adventure to life for players of all ages.”

Oceanhorn 3 takes place nearly a thousand years after the events of Oceanhorn 2. Players explore lost islands, battle massive titans, and uncover the secrets of a world on the edge of rebirth. The game blends exploration, combat, and puzzle solving while introducing new traversal systems and refined combat mechanics designed to feel intuitive and rewarding.

Apple describes the game as a full console-quality experience built for all supported devices. Key highlights include:

  • A large techno-fantasy world filled with lore and story-driven locations
  • Real-time combat with new movement and traversal options
  • A continuation of the series narrative that works for both new players and longtime fans
  • Full support across Apple devices with no ads or in-app purchases

Three more games launch on March 5

Oceanhorn 3 will not arrive alone. Apple Arcade is also adding three family-friendly titles on the same day:

All four titles join a growing Apple Arcade catalog of more than 200 games. Every game on the service remains free from ads and in-app purchases, keeping the focus on uninterrupted play.

Oceanhorn 3 launches exclusively on Apple Arcade on March 5, giving subscribers a major new adventure to start the month.

  • Oceanhorn 2 was very buggy when I played it. The crashes were enough to cause real problems with not knowing if items I had found had survived a crash or not.
And then whatever reward was supposed to be there for finding all those whatevers was just a small pool that killed you if you went inside. Probably unfinished. It looked like it was supposed to do something else.

And there were some areas that you could not go to. Sucky. I think they updated it near the end, but not enough to play the whole game over.

It was fun, but annoying. I hope they _actually_ finish the game this time. Never assume buggy software will ever be fixed or finished.
