Apple’s watchOS 26.4 beta cycle is still moving, and the company has now pushed watchOS 26.4 beta 3 to developers for testing, following beta 2 from February 23, 2026.
Apple has not posted the beta 3 build number on its public releases listing yet, so the easiest way to confirm the exact build is to open the update screen on your paired iPhone once the beta appears.
How to update
- Put your Apple Watch on the charger and keep it at 50% or more.
- Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi and keep it near the watch.
- Open the Watch app on iPhone.
- Go to General > Software Update.
- Tap Beta Updates, choose the watchOS 26 Developer Beta, then go back.
- Wait for watchOS 26.4 beta 3 to show up, then tap Download and Install.
Changes in watchOS 26.4
This beta looks like a mid-cycle update that focuses on stability and polish rather than big new features, especially because public release notes for each point beta often stay light during the early builds.
The main user-facing change tied to watchOS 26.4 so far is a new Average Bedtime metric inside the sleep features that sync to the Health app, which helps you track how your bedtime habits line up with sleep quality. Beta 3 continues testing around changes like this while Apple fixes bugs reported in earlier builds.
