Apple has released a revised iOS 26.5 beta 1 build for iPhone just days after the first beta went live for developers. The new build carries version number 23F5043k, up from 23F5043g, which suggests Apple has pushed out quick fixes before moving on to beta 2.
The update is now available through the developer beta channel, and iPadOS 26.5 has also received a revised beta build. So far, no fresh user-facing features have been spotted in this new release.
The original iOS 26.5 beta 1 introduced a few notable additions, including Suggested Places in Apple Maps and support for testing end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging. This revised release appears to focus more on bug fixes and stability improvements than on new visible changes.
How to update
- Open Settings
- Tap General
- Tap Software Update
- Download and install the latest iOS 26.5 beta build
Your iPhone needs to be enrolled in Apple’s developer beta program to see the update.
At the time of writing, no additional changes have been found in this revised beta 1 build. Apple likely released it to address bugs or behind-the-scenes issues that did not need to wait for the second beta. If more features or fixes turn up during testing, we will report on them, so stay tuned.
Apple is clearly moving quickly with iOS 26.5 testing, and this re-release shows the company is still fine-tuning the software ahead of the next beta. Let us know in the comments if you spot anything new after installing it.
