Apple’s $250 million settlement over the delayed launch of its new Siri features has received preliminary court approval, bringing eligible iPhone owners closer to a possible payout of up to $95. The settlement website has not launched yet, so customers do not need to submit any forms or take action at this stage.
The lawsuit followed Apple’s decision to delay several Siri features that it had promoted alongside Apple Intelligence in June 2024. These features included personal context awareness, on-screen understanding, and deeper controls inside supported apps.

Apple used product presentations, its website, and a television advertisement featuring Bella Ramsey to promote the new Siri experience. However, the company delayed the personalised Siri upgrade in March 2025, which led customers to file a class action lawsuit over alleged false advertising.
Who qualifies for the Apple Siri settlement?
Eligible users must live in the United States and must have purchased one of the following iPhone models between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025:
- iPhone 15 Pro
- iPhone 15 Pro Max
- iPhone 16
- iPhone 16e
- iPhone 16 Plus
- iPhone 16 Pro
- iPhone 16 Pro Max
Customers will likely need to provide purchase details, a serial number, or other device information when submitting a claim. The final requirements will appear on the official settlement website once it goes live.
Each approved claim will receive an estimated payment of $25 per eligible device. However, the payout can rise to as much as $95 if fewer people submit valid claims than expected.
According to the July 17 court document, eligible customers should receive email notices within about 45 days of preliminary approval. Customers who do not receive an email can still submit a claim if they meet the eligibility requirements.
Apple announced its revamped Siri system at WWDC 2026, and the assistant is now available through the iOS 27 developer beta. Apple plans to release iOS 27 publicly in September for the iPhone 15 Pro and newer models.
