iPhone Fold Dummy Video Gives Best Look Yet Next to iPhone 18 Pro Max

Video shows iPhone Fold next to iPhone 18 Pro Max, revealing real size, width, and thickness differences before launch

Apple’s upcoming iPhone lineup is starting to take shape as new dummy models reveal how the rumored iPhone Fold compares with the iPhone 18 Pro Max, giving a clearer idea of size, thickness, and overall feel ahead of launch.

Leaker Sonny Dickson first shared images of dummy units for the iPhone Fold, iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone 18 Pro Max, which offered an early look at Apple’s expected flagship lineup.

Soon after, X user AhMad Ansari posted a video showing the iPhone Fold and iPhone 18 Pro Max side by side, which makes the physical differences easier to understand when seen in motion.

iPhone Fold appears shorter but wider

The video shows that the foldable iPhone looks noticeably shorter than the iPhone 18 Pro Max when folded, which suggests it will feel closer to older compact models like the iPhone mini, while still appearing wider than most current iPhones, giving it a different in-hand feel.

Thickness remains close to Pro Max

The dummy model also shows that the iPhone Fold has a thickness similar to the iPhone 18 Pro Max when folded, which means the device does not become bulky despite the folding design, and when unfolded, it will feel significantly thinner since the body splits into two halves.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max itself is expected to be slightly thicker than its predecessor, which aligns with the dimensions seen in these dummy units and suggests Apple is keeping a familiar design while experimenting with the foldable form factor.
