Brendan Hunt, who cocreated and starred in Ted Lasso, returns as cohost alongside Rebecca Lowe, who leads NBC Sports’ Premier League coverage and will also cohost FOX Sports’ FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage. Apple says the duo will break down both on-pitch action and off-field stories throughout the tournament.

Apple Expands World Cup Coverage Across Apps
Apple confirmed that the podcast will be available in both audio and video formats through Apple News, Apple Podcasts, and other podcast platforms. The first episode launches on June 7 and will focus on tournament previews before the World Cup officially begins.
Alongside the podcast, Apple will also expand soccer coverage inside the Apple News app with schedules, scores, brackets, player feeds, and reports from major publishers. Users will also get live scores, detailed statistics, and tournament brackets through the Apple Sports app, which recently expanded to dozens of additional countries.
The company continues to push deeper into sports coverage across its services, especially after investing heavily in soccer content through MLS Season Pass and related programming. With After the Whistle returning for another season, Apple is positioning its apps as a central place for World Cup fans to follow matches, analysis, and tournament updates in one place.
