Apple’s upcoming Siri AI upgrade is one of the biggest features arriving with iOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, watchOS 27, and other software updates later this year. The redesigned Siri experience brings more natural conversations, improved intelligence, and deeper integration across Apple devices. However, Apple will limit the new Siri AI features to newer hardware.
The following Apple devices will support Siri AI when it launches this fall:
iPhone
- iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max
- iPhone Air
- iPhone 17
- iPhone 17e
- iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max
- iPhone 16 and 16 Plus
- iPhone 16e
- iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max
iPad
- All iPad models with an M1 chip or newer
- iPad models with A17 Pro or newer
Mac
- All Mac models with Apple silicon, including M1 and later chips
Apple Watch
- Apple Watch Series 9 and newer
- Apple Watch Ultra 2 and newer
- Apple Watch SE 3
Apple Vision Pro
- All models
Apple will also reserve some advanced Siri AI capabilities for its most powerful devices. Features such as full voice customization with adjustable pace and expressivity require newer hardware, including iPhone 17 Pro models, iPhone Air, select M4 iPads with at least 12GB of memory, newer M3 Macs with 12GB of memory, and Apple Vision Pro powered by the M5 chip.
As Apple prepares to launch Siri AI to the public this fall, users with older devices will need newer hardware to access the complete experience and its most advanced on-device AI features.
