Apple Sports has added support for seven more soccer leagues, giving fans a wider range of competitions to follow after the 2026 World Cup. The new features arrive with Apple Sports version 4.2, which is now available through the App Store.
The update expands the app’s soccer coverage across Europe and Asia, while also adding formation details for matches in most supported leagues. This gives users a clearer view of how each team plans to start the game and how players are arranged on the field.

Seven New Soccer Leagues Join Apple Sports
Apple Sports now supports the Belgian Pro League, Danish Superliga, Dutch Eredivisie, Japanese J1 League, Polish Ekstraklasa, Scottish Premiership, and Swiss Super League.
These additions make the app more useful for fans who follow domestic soccer outside the biggest European competitions. Users can check scores, match schedules, standings, and other live details from each newly supported league.
The new formation view also helps fans understand the starting lineup before kickoff. Apple says this feature will appear across most soccer leagues and will show how players are positioned for each match.
Apple TV also continues to offer every Major League Soccer match at no extra cost, giving soccer fans another option for following the new MLS season alongside live scores and match updates in Apple Sports.
