Apple has released iPadOS 27 beta 5 to developers as testing continues ahead of the software update’s public release later this year. The latest beta is available through the Software Update section on compatible iPads enrolled in Apple’s developer beta program.

How to update to iPadOS 27 beta 5
If your iPad is already enrolled in the developer beta program, you can install the update directly from Settings:
- Open the Settings app on your iPad.
- Go to General.
- Tap Software Update.
- Select Beta Updates.
- Make sure iPadOS 27 Developer Beta is selected.
- Return to the Software Update screen.
- Tap Download and Install when iPadOS 27 beta 5 appears.
Developer beta software can still contain bugs, battery drain, performance problems, and app compatibility issues, so installing it on a secondary iPad remains the safer option.
