Apple has released the macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 beta for testing, continuing its focus on security and stability for Macs running macOS Tahoe. The update arrives shortly after macOS Tahoe 26.6.1, which addressed a Screen Sharing authentication vulnerability.
The latest beta does not appear to bring any major new features or visible interface changes. Apple is focusing on security fixes, bug fixes, and other improvements before eventually releasing macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 to everyone.

How to update to macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 beta
If your Mac is enrolled to receive developer beta software, follow these steps:
- Open System Settings on your Mac.
- Select General.
- Click Software Update.
- Click the information button next to Beta Updates if beta updates are not already enabled.
- Select the appropriate macOS Developer Beta option.
- Return to Software Update and download macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 beta when it appears.
- Click Update Now and allow your Mac to restart.
The same Software Update menu is used for recent macOS Tahoe developer betas.
It is a good idea to back up important files before installing beta software, especially if you use the Mac for daily work.
