What happens in Ted Lasso Season 4 Episode 3?

Episode 3 is expected to move deeper into the difficult process of turning Richmond’s new women’s side into a real team. The episode description points to problems away from the pitch as Richmond shareholders question the decision to form a women’s team, while Ted and the coaching staff conduct tryouts to find their players.
That gives Ted another familiar challenge. He has to build confidence inside the dressing room while convincing people outside it that his team deserves a serious chance.
Episode 2, titled “Curiouser and Curiouser,” showed some of the obstacles surrounding women’s football at Richmond, including weaker facilities, limited attention and questions about how the club supports its new side. Alice Chilton also became a major part of Ted’s coaching setup after initially struggling with the decision to give him the top job.
With tryouts coming next, Episode 3 should start giving the Lady Greyhounds a clearer identity.
Season 4 is building a new AFC Richmond story
Ted Lasso Season 4 follows the events of Season 3, which ended with Ted leaving England and returning to Kansas to spend more time with his son Henry.
The fourth season brings him back to London with another major project waiting. Rebecca, Keeley and Higgins help pull Ted back toward Richmond, while Coach Beard, Roy Kent and other familiar characters remain connected to the club.
There have already been changes around the old Richmond squad as well. Episode 2 confirms that Jamie Tartt has moved to FC Barcelona, allowing Season 4 to spend more time developing its new women’s team and characters.
