iOS 27.2 Beta 3 May Fix a Jumping AirPlay Device Menu

iOS 27.2 beta 3 may fix an AirPlay menu glitch that caused available devices to jump as the list loaded. The behavior could lead users to tap the wrong speaker or television when an entry suddenly moved.

A tester in the beta 3 community thread said the first AirPlay option previously appeared partly off-screen before moving into place. The same user reported that the menu remains stable after updating.

The report concerns the layout of the device picker, not an inability to connect or stream. AirPlay discovery and playback depend on the network, receiving device and app, so separate connection problems may remain.

The fix is not in Apple’s notes

Apple has not documented this interface change in the beta release listing. Without a published fix note or reports across several devices, it remains a useful but limited observation from one tester.

Users can check the behavior by opening an AirPlay picker with several receivers available and watching whether entries move after the initial list appears. A screen recording can help distinguish the layout glitch from a device that repeatedly joins and leaves the network.

Anyone using AirPlay for important presentations or audio should remain on stable iOS. Beta 3 can resolve one visual problem while introducing unrelated connectivity or app compatibility issues.

The report concerns only the picker layout while devices load. It does not establish a change to AirPlay reliability, sound quality, video playback or compatibility with individual receivers. Additional reports from different receivers would be needed to establish broader scope.
