Changing its Mind, Roku Bans Alex Jones

Doing the opposite of most major internet companies, Roku decided for a couple of hours it would allow Alex Jones on its platform.

“After the InfoWars channel became available, we heard from concerned parties and have determined that the channel should be removed from our platform. Deletion from the channel store and platform has begun and will be completed shortly.”

If Roku was going to cave so quickly it shouldn’t have decided to let Alex Jones on in the first place. At least pretend to put up a fight for a couple more days.

  • Gotta love how Roku checked out the infowars channel and it passed their requirements just fine and how they say when taking Alex down “…we heard from concerned parties…”. LOL So if you create a channel on Roku and they get a call from “concerned parties”, it doesn’t matter that your channel doesn’t violated any of their terms of service, which is how it is supposed to work, they just delete you completely with no reason given. Boom your gone with no recourse.

By the way, it was a fan-made channel. It wasn’t even official. LOL That is how crazy this is getting. There are other channels that have Alex’s content on Roku and they are still up and running without an issue. Go figure.
