Apple Fitness+ Now Available in Japan With One Month Free Trial

Apple Fitness+ Expands to 28 New Markets With Dubbing and K-Pop

Apple has started offering Apple Fitness+ in Japan, making the subscription available to users who open the Fitness app on iPhone. The Fitness+ tab now appears inside the app, giving Japanese users full access to guided workouts and meditations starting today.

According to Mac Otakara, the rollout follows Apple’s earlier statement that the service would expand to Japan in early 2026. The launch also comes shortly after Fitness+ became available in 28 additional markets, including India, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Netherlands, and Taiwan.

Pricing and Availability

Apple offers a one-month free trial for new users in Japan. After the trial ends, Fitness+ costs 980 yen per month or 7,800 yen per year. The service can be shared with up to five family members through Family Sharing.

Japan does not get access to an Apple One Premier plan. As in other regions where Fitness+ launched in December 2025, Apple does not bundle the service with iCloud+ 2TB under Apple One in the country.

Fitness+ supports 12 workout types, including strength, yoga, HIIT, pilates, dance, cycling, kickboxing, and meditation. Users can work out on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. When paired with Apple Watch or AirPods Pro 3, the screen shows real-time metrics such as heart rate, calories burned, and activity progress.

Workouts and meditations are digitally dubbed into Japanese using a generated voice. Apple adds new dubbed sessions every week. English workouts remain available, along with Spanish and German dubbing. Digital dubbing requires iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, and tvOS 26.1.

With Japan added, Fitness+ is now available in 49 countries and regions worldwide.
