Apple Introduces Virtual Skills Program for US Manufacturers

Apple expanded its Manufacturing Academy by launching new virtual training programs for small and medium businesses across the United States. The company opened the curriculum to anyone online, which helps more teams learn advanced manufacturing skills without traveling to Detroit.

The Academy operated only through in-person sessions until now. By moving the program online, Apple widened access and created a path for more companies to improve their operations with guidance from industry experts.

Apple said the new courses focus on automation, predictive maintenance, quality control, and machine learning used with vision systems. The lessons also include communication and presentation training to help participants grow into leadership roles.

Apple launched the Manufacturing Academy in August with Michigan State University. The in-person program has already trained more than 80 businesses from several states.

Expanded Access Across the Country

The new online section helps companies that could not attend earlier sessions. It delivers professional training at no cost, which supports Apple’s plan to invest heavily in the U.S. economy over the next four years.

Participants can enroll at manufacturingacademy.msu.edu. Apple said this is only the start of a larger digital curriculum that will continue to grow with more lessons and tools.
