Apple has put a specific day on five operating systems and four hardware ship dates this fall. It has also published six features and events with no day attached at all, described only as “later this year,” “a future software update,” or left with no timing language whatsoever.
None of the six below is a rumor. Each is Apple’s own wording, on Apple’s own pages, simply missing the one detail a calendar needs.

Software features waiting on a future update
iOS 27 ships free on September 14, but Apple’s own feature page lists Messages Suggestions, context-aware quick actions based on what a conversation contains, as arriving in a later update rather than at launch. The redesigned Passwords app, which is meant to flag weak or compromised passwords and update them automatically, carries the identical phrase: “coming in a future software update.” Both features appear on the iOS 27 page today. Neither has a version number or a month attached.

Siri AI itself launches in beta on September 14, in English only. Apple’s own release states that French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish support is “coming in October,” which is a month, not a date. tvOS 27 is a step further behind: a release candidate build exists, dated the same day as the other five operating systems, but no Apple page names a public release day or a device compatibility list for it.
Hardware and business items Apple has only sketched
iPhone Duo supports Apple Pencil (USB-C) on both of its displays, according to Apple’s own product materials, but Apple’s own phrase for when that support actually works is “coming later this year.” iPhone Duo itself ships October 23 with a firm date; the accessory support riding along with it does not.
Mac Studio’s top memory tier, 512GB of unified memory on the M5 Ultra configuration, is a similar case. Apple’s own release for Mac Studio states plainly that this configuration “does not ship until late October,” a full month after the rest of the line goes on general sale September 22. “Late October” is not a date a reader can put on a calendar.
The one item with no timing language at all
Apple’s Q4 fiscal year 2026 earnings call has not been announced in any form, not even a month. The company’s other three calls this fiscal year landed in late January, late April and late July, each on a Thursday afternoon Pacific time. If that spacing holds, a late October call would fit the pattern. Apple has not said so, and a pattern is not a publication.
