iOS 26.4 Could End the Copy-Paste Nightmare for Your Credit Cards

Adding a new credit card to an app has always been a little annoying. You type the number, the expiration date, maybe a CVV, and if you want to save it for later, you have to remember to copy it into another system or trust the app to store it securely. Apple looks ready to fix that with iOS 26.4.

The update is reportedly testing a smart system that notices when you add a card in a third-party app and immediately offers to save it to iCloud Keychain. Think of it as Autofill for Safari, but now available across your apps. Instead of juggling numbers or worrying about losing them, your cards could automatically be stored and ready to use the next time you need them.

It gets even simpler on the other side. Apps will be able to tap into iCloud Keychain to let you access stored cards with a single click. No more digging through settings or copy-pasting; your information just shows up when it’s needed.

The feature seems straightforward, but it could make a big difference in daily life. If the current reports are right, this will roll out sometime later this year.
