ExxonMobil has added App Clips for mobile payments on iPhones, as well as QR codes for Google Pay users (via Digital Transactions).

Added in iOS 14, App Clips let iPhone users access certain parts of an app without having to download the full app. Apple’s documentation specifies that they can’t be bigger then 10MB in size. They can be useful for tasks like buying gas, renting a scooter, and ordering from a restaurant.
Developers can make App Clips available not just with an App Clip Code, but with NFC tags, QR codes, a Smart App Banner in Safari, URLs in Messages, and place cards in Maps.
