Apple’s cloud-based build and testing service for app developers is down, and the problem is not small. Xcode Cloud has faced a widespread outage since late yesterday, blocking many teams from running builds, tests, and automated workflows. As a result, developers cannot ship updates or verify code changes, which slows down active projects across the Apple ecosystem.
According to Apple’s Developer System Status page, the issue began on January 31 at 6:48 p.m. Eastern Time and continues without a clear fix window. Apple has not shared technical details about what caused the outage, but the company has confirmed that every user who relies on Xcode Cloud is affected.
Apple on the Outage
Apple posted the following message on its system status page:
Xcode Cloud – Issue
Yesterday, 5:18 AM – Ongoing
All users are affected
This service is currently experiencing disruptions. We are working to resolve the issue.
That short statement is the only official update so far. Even so, it confirms that Apple engineers are actively working on the problem.
Until Apple restores the service, developers need to rely on local builds or other tools to keep their projects moving. We’ll keep monitoring Xcode Cloud’s status and share an update once Apple fixes the outage or provides more information.
