Apple just launched the latest iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5 Public and Developer Beta versions. It ironed out some minor bugs to provide an overall smoother experience, although it’s premature to tell if the new stable release will have any noteworthy user-facing features. Here’s how you can install the update on your iPhone.

How To Download and Install iOS 17.5 Public Beta on iPhone?

Before installing the beta version on your device, you must sign up for the Apple Beta Software Program. It is a mandatory process that will allow you to access all the beta updates in the future.

Anyone with an iPhone can test the new Public Beta version, which is generally more stable than a Developer Beta version. Here’s how to download and install it.

  1. Go to the Settings app and open General.

    Open settings and go to General

  2. Then, select Software Update.

  3. Head to Beta Updates and tap on it.

  4. Select iOS 17 Public Beta from the given set of options.

  5. Tap Back at the top and now wait for the system to check for any updates.

You can now install the update on your iPhone.

How To Download and Install iPadOS 17.5 Public Beta on iPad?

Here are the steps you can follow to download the iPadOS 17.5 Public Beta.

  1. Unlock your iPad and open the Settings app on your Home Screen.
  2. Then, head to General on the left sidebar and tap Software Update.

  3. Open Beta Updates.
  4. Select iPadOS 17 Public Beta here. Your system will now check for any updates available on your device.

How To Download and Install iOS 17.5 Developer Beta

Developer Beta is less stable and can contain bugs. I suggest creating a backup of your device or installing it on a secondary device to test the features.

  1. Open Settings and tap General.
    Go to Settings and open General
  2. Go to Software Update and open it.
    Select Software Update
  3. You will see the Beta Updates option below the Automatic Updates section.

Here’s how to install iPadOS 17.5 Developer Beta:

  1. Open Settings and go to General.
  2. Next, tap Software Update.
