Apple to Release iOS 4 Monday

· by · News

Apple’s iOS 4 upgrade for the iPhone 3G and 3GS, along with the iPod touch, is set to be released some time on Monday. The new version of the iPhone operating system will include several new features such as third-party app multi-tasking support, and a unified inbox for multiple email accounts in Mobile Mail.

iOS 4, previously known as iPhone OS 4, will also support Bluetooth keyboards, organizing apps in folders, Home screen wallpapers, and more.

The upgrade doesn’t support the original iPhone, and some features, such as multi-tasking require at least an iPhone 3GS or a third generation iPod touch. iOS 4 will be available for the iPad later this year.

iOS 4 will be available as a free upgrade.
