Apple Expands Its Free Sports App Across More European Countries

Apple expanded its free Sports app to more European countries today. iPhone users in Belgium, Croatia, Czechia, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Poland, Hungary, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Greece, Estonia, Latvia, Romania, and Ukraine can now download it. The wider rollout gives more fans access to live scores and quick updates without extra steps.

Apple first launched the app in February 2024, and it already served the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Austria, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, and Spain. Today’s update brings the app to version 3.5 and is now rolling out in the App Store.

What’s New in This Expansion

Apple Sports continues to show scores, stats, schedules, standings, and upcoming matches across major leagues. Apple added useful features earlier this year, including a Home Screen widget and support for Live Activities, letting you follow upcoming events directly from your Lock Screen.

The app still remains exclusive to the iPhone. Apple has not shared any plans to bring it to the iPad or Mac.
