Apple has opened pre-orders for the Vision Pro with the M5 chip and the new Dual Knit Band in Korea and Taiwan. The launch in both countries happens on November 28, and Apple plans to expand availability in phases. The update focuses on performance, display quality, and comfort, keeping the overall design consistent.
The M5 version continues Apple’s move toward faster hardware. It includes a 10 core CPU, a 10 core GPU with Neural Accelerators, and a 16 core Neural Engine paired with 16GB of RAM. Apple also confirmed improved battery life during video playback, increasing from 2.5 hours to approximately three hours. First reports from earlier launches highlighted how the new 120Hz displays show about 10 percent more pixels for sharper visuals.
Performance and Display Improvements
The M5 adds hardware accelerated ray tracing, mesh shading, and up to 50 percent faster AI performance. These upgrades improve graphics and speed during apps and motion heavy scenes. At the same time, Apple maintained the design and connectivity, including the R1 chip, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and the external battery.
Apple also updated the Dual Knit Band. It combines two straps in one piece, with an upper strap over the head and a lower strap across the back. The lower strap includes tungsten inserts that act as counterweights, and both straps can be tuned through the Fit Dial.
Regional Pricing and Options
In Korea, the Vision Pro with M5 and Dual Knit Band starts at 4,990,000 won with storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The Dual Knit Band alone costs 149,000 won. In Taiwan, the headset starts at NT$119,900, and the band sells for NT$3,490.
Apple first launched the M5 Vision Pro on October 15 in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. With Korea and Taiwan now added, the rollout continues across more regions.
