X has officially launched its new financial service called X Money for users in the United States. The platform is moving out of its invite-only testing phase and is now rolling out to people who pay for Premium and Premium Plus subscriptions. This setup lets you send, receive, and request funds right from your timeline without worrying about extra fees or limits.
The company designed this to function well on your Apple devices so you can manage your balance on the go.

Subscribers get interest yields and a digital debit card
When you sign up, X Money gives you a deposit account and issues a virtual Visa debit card right away. You can quickly add this digital card straight to your Apple Wallet for easy access. If you prefer holding something real, the company also lets you order a physical metal card. You can even personalize this physical card with your exact name and your social handle.
The financial perks are fairly competitive for a service tied to a social app. Premium Plus members automatically earn a 6% annual percentage yield on their stored funds. Regular Premium users can unlock this same interest rate if they meet certain direct deposit rules. On top of the interest, eligible purchases made with the card will earn 3% cash back, and you can spend those funds anywhere Apple Pay is accepted.
To keep things secure, all deposit accounts are managed by Cross River Bank, making the funds FDIC insured. New users who join the service might also see a fifteen-dollar welcome deposit drop into their account. Adding a digital bank account to a social app is a notable shift.
By offering high interest yields and standard card features, X gives its most active users a practical reason to keep their money parked directly on the platform instead of a traditional bank.
