However, to keep costs low, Apple plans to make a few trade-offs. You may see an older design, fewer ports, and just 8GB of memory. There is even talk of a single USB-C port. Still, the aim stays clear. Apple wants to offer a MacBook that feels modern yet remains affordable for students and casual users.

iPhone 17e
Alongside the new MacBook, Apple will introduce the iPhone 17e as the next step in its budget phone line. Most other features will stay close to the iPhone 16e.
