If you want to listen to LBC on your HomePod or iPhone, you don’t need anything fancy. Apple builds radio streaming right into the Music app, and HomePod can pull from the same radio sources. The trick is knowing where to find LBC and how to get Siri to play it reliably.

The simplest method: ask Siri
Here’s the thing. LBC streams through Apple’s radio integrations, mainly TuneIn. That means Siri can pull it up with one clean request.
On either HomePod or iPhone, say:
Hey Siri, play LBC
Siri will grab the live broadcast and start playing it instantly. You don’t need an Apple Music subscription for this, just an Apple ID signed in on the device.
Play LBC manually in Apple Music on iPhone
If you’d rather tap than talk, you can start the stream directly inside the Music app.
- Open the Music app.
- Tap Radio.
- Use the Search tab and type LBC.
- Tap the result to start listening.
Because it’s broadcast radio, you can’t rewind or skip, but you’ll get the exact same live feed you’d hear on HomePod.
AirPlay LBC to your HomePod
If you start LBC on your iPhone but want it coming out of your HomePod, AirPlay makes it easy.
- Open Control Center on your iPhone.
- Tap the audio card.
- Tap the AirPlay icon.
- Pick your HomePod from the list.
You can also do this from inside the Music app by tapping the AirPlay icon next to Now Playing.
Use Handoff for instant playback
If you’re already listening to LBC on your iPhone, you can send the audio straight to your HomePod without touching any menus.
Make sure:
- Your iPhone is on the same Wi-Fi as the HomePod.
- Bluetooth is on.
- Transfer to HomePod is enabled in Settings > General > AirPlay & Continuity.
Then hold your iPhone near the top of the HomePod. The audio jumps over automatically. It works the other way too if you want to take the stream with you.
Can you add LBC as a station?
You can’t create a custom station for LBC because Apple treats it as a live broadcast from TuneIn or iHeartRadio, depending on your region. That said, Siri remembers your habits. After you ask for LBC a few times, the HomePod gets quicker at recognizing the request.
What if Siri can’t find LBC?
A few things can get in the way:
Network mismatch. Your HomePod and iPhone must be on the same Wi Fi network. If they aren’t, the Home app will show a mismatch alert.
Weak Wi Fi signal. If your HomePod only has one or two bars of signal, live radio may fail to load. Move it closer to your router.
Region limitations. Some stations are routed through TuneIn only in certain countries. If Siri can’t find LBC, try manually starting it on your iPhone and AirPlaying it.
Using third party radio apps
If you prefer the LBC app or Global Player, you can still play those streams on HomePod with AirPlay. Open the stream in the app, tap the AirPlay icon, and send it to your HomePod. Handoff works with these apps too.
Final thoughts
Listening to LBC on HomePod or iPhone is easy once you know how Apple handles radio. Siri requests work most of the time, the Music app has LBC baked in through its radio partners, and AirPlay fills the gaps when it doesn’t.
