New Leak Shows Apple’s Abandoned Dark ‘Vision Air’ Hardware

Apple’s Unreleased Black Vision Headset Parts Appear in New Leak

A new leak shows hardware parts for an unreleased all-black Apple Vision headset. The image highlights a dark version of the power strap and audio pod. These parts follow the same design as the current Vision Pro, but the deep finish sets them apart from anything Apple has shipped so far.

The photo shows the left strap, the oval audio pod, and the attached cable. Everything looks familiar at first, yet the darker tone makes the hardware stand out. The usual silver and white elements are replaced with a near-black surface that hints at a different model.

Now the leak fits into a larger trail of earlier evidence that pointed to a lighter headset. When you place these new parts next to previous reports, the picture becomes clearer. Apple seems to have worked on a headset with a new color, new materials, and redesigned connectors.

Kosutami shared earlier claims about a thinner mixed reality device known as Vision Air. The model reportedly used lighter parts, a titanium battery enclosure, and an aluminum shell finished in a deep Midnight shade. Those details match the color seen in the new strap and audio pod.

Kosutami also posted images of a Midnight connector that looked similar to Lightning. It carried only eight pins instead of the Vision Pro’s twelve. That change suggested Apple tested a new external battery system for a future headset.

When you combine the new strap, the earlier connector leak, and the Vision Air details, the hardware lines up neatly. The black parts show that Apple built and tested components for a lighter and cheaper model. Whether Apple ever ships anything based on this design remains unclear, but the leak confirms that the project reached real hardware stages.
