Apple Shows F1 Channel Preview and Confirms Onboard Camera Support

Apple and Formula 1 sign five-year deal bringing F1 on Apple TV

Today marked the final race of the 2025 Formula 1 season, and it also closed ESPN’s run as the United States broadcast partner. Apple steps in next year, bringing every race to its TV app as part of a standard Apple TV subscription. The shift sets up a major change in how fans in the US watch the sport.

Apple released a new ad on X that offers the first clear look at the upcoming F1 channel inside the TV app. The preview highlights a clean layout, quick access to live sessions, and a design that matches Apple’s broader streaming style. It sets expectations for what subscribers will see when the service launches.

The company signed a five-year deal to carry every F1 session in the US starting with the 2026 season. The first race weekend begins on March 6 to 8, but the new section in the TV app should arrive earlier with preseason content and setup material.

New F1 Channel

From Apple’s screenshots, you see support for onboard driver cameras that fans previously needed F1.TV to access. You also get Multiview, which lets you watch several angles at once. This feature works on Apple TV, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro, keeping the experience consistent across devices.

Apple also confirmed that every practice, qualifying, sprint, and Grand Prix session will be available at no extra charge. The package aims to bring a complete season under one subscription without any add-on tiers.

Apple teased more updates in the coming months, including new production features and interface improvements. The company plans to reveal those details before the 2026 season starts.

  • I still have no idea how to get in car cameras on Apple tv. Never saw a box with all the drivers names. I have apple tv. Can’t find anything that would allow me in car camera axes.
