Hijack returns today on Apple TV with its second season. Idris Elba is back as negotiator Sam Nelson, but the story moves away from the plane. This time, the danger unfolds on a train in the Berlin underground. The setting changes, yet the tension stays at the center.
The new season runs for eight episodes. Apple TV drops the first episode today, January 14, with new episodes every Wednesday. If you prefer to watch in one sitting, the finale lands on March 4. The story wraps up within this season, although the creators have hinted at ideas for a final follow-up if viewership stays strong.

Like the first season, Hijack asks you to accept some unlikely situations. Still, the show delivers fast action and steady suspense. Reviews remain mixed. Critics praise the stylish sequences while pointing out that the plot stretches logic at times. Even so, the series has proven its reach. Season one drew a large audience and became one of Apple TV’s most watched originals.
You can stream Hijack with an Apple TV subscription. Watch through the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Android, Windows, PlayStation, and Xbox. You can also access it via Amazon Prime Video or through the Apple One bundle.
