Chrome Tells iPhone Users to Keep “All Your Tabs” in One Browser

Chrome on iOS showing “All your tabs in one browser” prompt alongside iOS Default Apps browser settings

After Safari’s import feature in Chrome beta on iOS, Chrome is promoting its default browser option by highlighting tabs in one place.

The full-screen prompt reads “All your tabs in one browser,” followed by the line “Set Chrome as default to sync your tabs, passwords, and payment info on all your devices.” The message focuses on keeping browsing data together across devices.

The screen shows stacked, colorful tab previews. These visuals drive home the idea of keeping everything inside Chrome. The design feels more visual than earlier instruction-style messages. The sync message is clear at a glance.

Chrome is targeting users who already use it on a laptop or desktop. When users set Chrome as the default browser on iPhone, links and tabs stay in one place. Sign-ins also remain consistent across devices. This avoids splitting activity between Safari and Chrome.

The prompt includes a “Go to Settings…” button. Tapping it opens Apple’s Default Apps section. From there, users can switch their default browser in a few taps. Apple recently grouped browser, mail, and other default app options into one page.

iOS changes make this easier, so Chrome gets direct. The prompt leaves little doubt that Safari is no longer the only option and encourages users to make an immediate choice.

Once Chrome is set as default, links from apps like Mail or Messages open directly in Chrome. Tabs can be picked up across devices, and saved credentials are ready on websites without extra steps.
