Apple has released tvOS 26.3 Release Candidate for developers, signaling the beta cycle is almost finished. This RC build is 23K6619, and it matches the final version Apple plans to ship to everyone if no last-minute issues show up.
Because this is a Release Candidate, the public rollout usually follows soon after. In other words, tvOS 26.3 is now in the final testing window.
After tvOS 26.3 lands for the public, the next beta cycle should move to tvOS 26.4. Separate recent reporting also points to a February preview tied to a Gemini-powered Siri direction, likely around the 26.4 timeframe.
How to install tvOS 26.3 RC
- Open Settings on Apple TV
- Go to System
- Select Software Updates
- Choose Update Software
- Download and install tvOS 26.3 RC (23K6619)
If you do not see the RC, make sure your Apple TV is enrolled for developer beta updates, then check again in Software Updates.
Changes in tvOS 26.3
tvOS 26.3 has looked like a smaller cycle overall, and early RC feedback has not surfaced major new user facing additions. Expect bug fixes and stability improvements more than new features.
Release Candidates often focus on performance tuning and final compatibility checks, especially for playback, AirPlay behavior, and background services. If you stream heavily, this is the build where small reliability gains typically show up.
The point of the RC is simple: validate the near final software on real devices before the public push. If Apple finds a serious bug, it can replace this RC with a revised build.
