Apple TV Reveals Friday Night Baseball Schedule for First Half of 2026 Season

Apple will bring back Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV starting March 27, marking the fifth season of the weekly MLB broadcast package on the streaming service. Fans will get two exclusive games every Friday throughout the 25-week 2026 Major League Baseball regular season. The opening night schedule features the Los Angeles Angels facing the Houston Astros, followed by the Cleveland Guardians playing the Seattle Mariners.

The weekly doubleheaders will stream in more than 60 countries and regions through the Apple TV app. Apple says viewers will see improved broadcast production, deeper analysis from commentators, and games that remain available without local broadcast restrictions. Subscribers only need a standard Apple TV subscription to watch the games.

Apple confirmed the return of the program in a press release announcing the full first-half schedule and additional MLB programming on the platform.

“Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV continues to elevate how fans experience the game,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music, Apple TV, Sports, and Beats.

Apple highlighted “cutting-edge production” and the use of iPhone cameras during live broadcasts, which add new viewing angles and immersive shots during select games.

Season Expectations

Apple TV will stream two MLB matchups every Friday during the regular season, running for 25 weeks. The coverage will feature professional commentary teams, sideline reporting, and production handled in partnership with MLB Network’s award-winning broadcast crew.
