Apple is Now Selling Refurbished Studio Display XDR

Apple has officially started selling refurbished versions of its Studio Display XDR for the first time since the monitor launched in March. The certified pre-owned units are now available to customers in the United States, as well as in Canada, Australia, Japan, and New Zealand. Shoppers can save around 15 percent compared to buying a brand new model, which is the standard discount the company offers through its refurbished store.

How much you can save on the different monitor models

The refurbished store offers a few different configurations for the high-end display. If you want the base version with a VESA mount adapter and standard glass, it will cost $2,459. This is a solid drop from the $2,899 price tag of a brand new unit. If you prefer the model that includes a tilt and height-adjustable stand, the refurbished price comes in at $2,799, down from the original $3,299.

Apple is also selling discounted versions that feature the upgraded nano-texture glass. Every refurbished monitor goes through full functionality testing and a thorough cleaning process. The company states that the devices are virtually indistinguishable from new ones. They ship in a plain white box, include a Thunderbolt 5 Pro cable, and come with a standard one-year warranty. You can also purchase AppleCare+ coverage for extra protection.

Highlights of the Studio Display XDR features and specs

The monitor features a 27-inch screen with 5K resolution and mini-LED backlighting. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches a peak brightness of 2,000 nits when viewing HDR content. The display is designed to deliver incredibly accurate colors, supporting both P3 and Adobe RGB color spaces, making it a great choice for creative professionals.

On the back, the monitor is packed with connectivity options. It includes two Thunderbolt 5 ports, one of which provides up to 140W of pass-through charging for a connected laptop. It also has two standard USB-C ports for charging phones or connecting extra accessories. For video calls and audio, the display features a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera and a six-speaker sound system with force-canceling woofers.
