iRacing will launch on Apple Vision Pro this week with the visionOS 26.4 update. The new support brings a more immersive racing experience by combining virtual simulation with real-world elements. Apple aims to expand spatial computing into gaming with this integration.
The iRacing team confirmed Vision Pro support in a recent blog post. The system uses Apple’s ARKit to blend the virtual racing environment with physical objects like steering wheels and hands. This setup allows users to see their real hands while interacting with the in-game cockpit.

iRacing uses foveated streaming to improve visual performance. The system focuses high-quality rendering on the area where the user is looking, which improves clarity while maintaining performance.

Nvidia plays a key role in enabling this experience. The system uses CloudXR technology to handle heavy processing tasks. A PC with an Nvidia RTX GPU performs physics calculations and graphics rendering, then streams the output to the Vision Pro headset over Wi-Fi.
Nvidia stated that this setup allows high-fidelity visuals without overloading the headset. The company also highlighted future use cases in manufacturing, design, and healthcare.
Along with iRacing, Apple Vision Pro will also support X-Plane for the first time. Apple has already released the visionOS 26.4 Release Candidate, and the full update is expected soon.
