Apple Launches A New Free All-In-One Platform For Businesses

Apple is changing how it handles enterprise tools by launching a brand new unified platform on April 14. The new service, simply called Apple Business, merges several existing portals into one easy location. The biggest surprise is that the core mobile device management features will now be completely free for organizations of all sizes. This eliminates the monthly fees previously charged under the older Essentials plan.

It makes it easier to manage your devices and employees from one place

Instead of jumping between three different websites, company administrators can now control their hardware and team directories from a single dashboard. The platform introduces a feature called Blueprints, which allows IT teams to easily configure new devices with specific apps and security settings before they even come out of the box.

You also get new tools for team management. Apple is adding custom roles so business owners can give specific permissions to certain employees without making them full administrators.

The system also connects directly with popular identity services like Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID. This makes it incredibly easy to create managed accounts for new hires automatically.

Businesses can control their public brand across the Apple ecosystem

Beyond just managing employee hardware, the new platform gives business owners direct control over how their company appears to the public. You can update your official brand name, logo, and cover photos so they look consistent across Maps, Wallet, and Mail. If someone uses Tap to Pay on their iPhone at your store, your custom logo will appear right on the screen.

Starting this summer, Apple is also adding a way for businesses to buy local advertisements directly within the Maps app. While the core device and brand management features are free, Apple still offers paid upgrades for extra iCloud storage or extended device warranties.

Existing enterprise customers will automatically migrate to the new platform when it officially launches next month.
