Pluribus Season 2 Is Past the Halfway Point, Says Vince Gilligan

Pluribus Becomes Apple TV’s Only Top 10 Original After Finale Week

Vince Gilligan has shared a new update on Pluribus season 2, giving fans a clearer idea of where the Apple TV series currently stands after its first season wrapped in December 2025.

Deadline reported that Gilligan, who created the series, said he and his writing team are now “a little past the halfway point” on season 2. He explained that the team has already figured out the episodes, although the writing process started with the usual difficulty that comes with shaping a new season.

Gilligan also said he has reached the stage where he feels excited about filming the new episodes and eventually letting viewers see them, which suggests the creative direction for Pluribus season 2 is now becoming stronger behind the scenes.

The update comes after Rhea Seehorn appeared with Bryan Cranston on Variety’s “Actors on Actors” series, where she seemed careful while discussing how long the first season took to shoot. Seehorn said season 1 took around 10 to 11 months, but she avoided giving too much detail about the production process.

Apple TV ordered two seasons of Pluribus from the beginning, so season 2 has always been part of the plan. The first season aired from November 7 to December 24, 2025, more than three years after the show was first announced.

For now, Gilligan’s comments show that season 2 is moving forward, but fans should not expect the show to return quickly.
