iOS 27 Adds Two New iCloud+ Perks for Paid Storage Users

iOS 27 Gives iCloud+ Subscribers Higher Apple Intelligence Limits

Apple is adding two new iCloud+ benefits with iOS 27, giving paid storage users more value beyond extra cloud space for photos, files, backups, and device data.

The first new perk is increased daily access to some Apple Intelligence features, including image generation in the updated Image Playground app. Apple says some iOS 27 features use powerful server models, so daily limits will apply, but most iCloud+ plans will offer higher usage than free users.

Image Playground is also getting stronger with iOS 27, as Apple says the app can now create photorealistic images. The company has not shared the exact daily limit for image generation, so users will need to wait for more details after the update rolls out.

The second perk focuses on HomeKit Secure Video cameras inside the Home app. With iOS 27, supported cameras can generate video descriptions, search camera clips, and surface noteworthy moments automatically, which makes it easier to find useful footage without checking every clip manually.

These smart camera features will likely need at least the 200GB iCloud+ plan, while Apple One Family and Apple One Premier users should also receive the same benefits. For users already paying for iCloud storage, iOS 27 adds practical upgrades without requiring a separate subscription.
