Fox’s return has reportedly been confirmed by people familiar with the project. Amanda Seyfried is also expected to reprise her role as Anita “Needy” Lesnicki, although her involvement has not received the same level of confirmation.

The sequel is moving closer to production
Diablo Cody has been developing the project for 20th Century Studios. Kusama previously described the script as fun and unpredictable, suggesting that the sequel will retain the dark comedy and horror elements that shaped the original movie.
The first Jennifer’s Body arrived in 2009 and followed a demonically possessed high school student who began killing and eating her male classmates. Although the film received mixed reviews and modest box office results during its original release, it later developed a strong cult following.
