The update suggests Apple still plans to unveil its first foldable iPhone in September, although limited supply or a slightly later release remains possible.

The iPhone Ultra will reportedly become Apple’s most distinctive smartphone in years, following the major design changes introduced with the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air. 20th anniversary iPhone may borrow from iPhone Air

These details raise questions because previous reports have linked the anniversary design to Apple’s Pro models, which typically require larger batteries and more robust cooling systems. An Air-style body would leave less internal space, although a larger vapor chamber could help Apple manage heat without increasing thickness.
The reference to glass construction also remains unclear because current iPhone Pro models already combine glass and aluminum. Apple may use more glass across the body, creating a cleaner appearance for the anniversary model while giving the device a more distinctive design.
