Apple could announce its next major iPhone event this week, with the company expected to hold the launch on or around Wednesday, September 9.
The timing would follow Apple’s recent pattern of announcing its September event roughly two weeks in advance. In each of the past four years, Apple sent invitations exactly 14 days before its iPhone event, making August 26 a likely date for this year’s announcement.
Apple’s September event is expected to focus on three new iPhones: the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the company’s first foldable iPhone, which reports suggest could carry the iPhone Ultra name.

The foldable model is expected to use a book-style design with separate outer and inner displays. Current reports also point to Touch ID in the power button, two rear cameras, an A20-series chip, and a premium price that could reach around $2,500.
The regular iPhone 18 is reportedly absent from the September lineup. Apple is expected to introduce the standard model in spring 2027 as part of a new split iPhone release schedule.
New Apple Watch and AirPods could also arrive
Apple Watch Series 12 is another expected announcement, with reports pointing to a faster processor and the possible return of a ceramic case option. Apple Watch Ultra 4 is also reportedly in development.
Apple is developing two AirPods 5 models as well, including versions with and without active noise cancellation, although their September launch timing remains less certain.
Apple has yet to officially confirm the September event date, so the invitation expected this week should provide the final schedule.
