Apple CEO John Ternus has opened his first public social media account on X as he begins his first official day leading the company, giving Apple followers a new place to hear directly from its new chief executive.
Ternus joined X under the handle @johnternus, with a short bio that reads “ CEO,” while his first post simply said “hello.” He previously had no public social media presence, so the account gives him a direct channel ahead of Apple’s major fall product event next Wednesday.
Tim Cook has also updated his X profile after moving from CEO to Apple’s executive chairman role. Apple itself keeps an official X account but rarely posts regular content outside sponsored material.
