Aqara just revealed a massive update to its smart lighting lineup at the IFA tech show in Berlin. The company introduced five new lighting products that cover indoor spaces, outdoor setups, and accent lighting. Best of all for smart home fans, every single new device supports Matter. This means these lights connect easily with Apple Home, along with other major platforms like Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
The new lights offer both Thread and Zigbee connection options
All five new products give you two ways to connect them to your home network. You can use Thread, which lets the lights talk directly to compatible Matter systems. If you use Apple Home, you will not even need a separate Aqara hub as long as you have a recent HomePod or Apple TV to act as a network bridge. If you prefer, you can use the older Zigbee standard to link the lights deeply with other Aqara sensors and switches.
The indoor lineup includes three distinct models. The Floor Lamp T1 stands tall and shines light against your wall to create colorful moods and lighting gradients. The LED Downlight T2 features a very thin design, making it a great fit for ceilings that do not have much empty space above them. Finally, the LED Strip T2 gives you bright, cuttable accent lighting with 108 individual LEDs packed into every meter.

The company also introduces permanent outdoor lighting and community tools
Aqara is stepping outside with two weather-resistant models. The Outdoor String Lights H1 bring colorful, adjustable lighting to patios and balconies. For a more built-in look, the Permanent Outdoor Lights H1 attach to your roofline. You can leave them up all year long to celebrate different holidays without hanging temporary strings every few months.
Alongside the new hardware, it launched a new community platform called Aqara Builder. This online space helps people share their smart home projects, get design inspiration, and figure out new automation ideas. Aqara has not shared the official prices or release dates for any of these products just yet.
This new hardware push shows Aqara wants to give buyers maximum flexibility. By including Thread alongside its usual Zigbee tech, the brand makes building an automated house much simpler for the average person. Anyone looking to brighten their space now has five strong new options to look forward to this year.
