Anker just announced the MindBase Home Hub, a new central brain for your smart home that packs some serious hardware. Instead of relying on cloud servers, the Anker MindBase Home Hub uses a built-in compute card to run artificial intelligence entirely on the device. It also doubles as a massive local storage drive, giving users a way to keep data and security footage completely private.

The hub stores up to 48 terabytes of files and footage

The MindBase works with nearly 100 Anker devices and supports the Matter standard to connect with gear from other brands. It even plays nice with Apple HomeKit. Beyond just linking smart lights and plugs, it acts as a network-attached storage drive. You can load it with up to 48 terabytes of storage space to back up personal photos, videos, and daily files right in your living room.

Because it runs the Anker TrueSmart AI Agent locally, the hub can analyze security camera feeds in real time without sending video to the internet. If it spots a potential threat, it can turn on lights, issue verbal warnings, or start active deterrence measures. The system integrates closely with a planned MindBase Security Kit. This bundle includes a TrackLight Cam S1, the new S4 Video Doorbell, and a Smart Security Shield sensor that uses radar to spot people from up to 15 meters away.

Anker also introduced a fresh lineup of smart security cameras

Alongside the hub, the company revealed several new Eufy security cameras. The standout is the Eufy NVR Security System E50, a $999 package featuring an eight-channel recorder and four dual-lens cameras. Those lenses combine a 2K wide-angle view with a 4K motorized zoom setup for high-resolution tracking.

For the front door, it created the $300 Video Doorbell S4. Arriving in late September, the wired doorbell uses a 9-megapixel lens to capture a 180-degree field of view in sharp 3K video. The maker is also catering to renters with the $70 Window Camera E10, which sticks to the inside of a window and uses anti-glare glass to record outside in 2.5K resolution. Lastly, a new wall-mounted Fall Detection Sensor uses radar to monitor for falls without needing a privacy-invading camera lens.

These new additions show Anker wants to push smart home control back onto local devices. By combining massive local storage with on-device processing, the MindBase gives people a real alternative to paying monthly subscription fees for cloud storage and smart alerts.
