WhatsApp is rolling out another Liquid Glass update for iPhone users, this time bringing the new design to the message menu, reaction tray, and context menu. The change is available to some beta testers through WhatsApp beta for iOS 26.35.10.16 on TestFlight.
WABetaInfo reports that the redesigned message menu now uses a translucent appearance that matches Apple’s Liquid Glass design language. When users select a message, the reaction tray and context menu appear over the conversation while keeping more of the chat visible in the background.
WhatsApp Updates the Reaction Tray With Liquid Glass

The updated reaction tray replaces its more solid appearance with a transparent design that better matches the rest of WhatsApp’s refreshed chat interface. Users can still select emoji reactions in the same way, so the update changes the visual design without changing how the feature works.

WhatsApp has also removed the stronger full-screen blur effect that previously appeared behind the context menu. The conversation now stays more visible while the menu remains readable, which gives the interface a more consistent appearance across the chat screen.
The redesigned reaction tray also adapts to Light and Dark Mode, with WhatsApp adjusting the transparency and surrounding interface based on the appearance selected on the iPhone.
WhatsApp has already added Liquid Glass elements to the chat bar and navigation areas, and the company continues to update more parts of the iOS app. Liquid Glass support for the drawing editor and video player is also under development.
The latest message menu design is rolling out gradually to beta testers, so some users will need to wait for a later TestFlight update before it appears.
