Spoiler warning: This article reveals the ending of Stop! That! Train!

Yes, Tess and DeeDee stop the Glamazonian Express before the runaway train destroys Los Angeles. Ginger Minj and Jujubee’s characters do not pull off the rescue alone, but they become the practical center of a team that finally gets the passengers, train crew and President Judy Gagwell working toward the same goal.

The ending completes the film’s buddy-comedy promise. Two stewardesses dismissed by the shabby Stank Rail sneak onto a luxury service and are treated as outsiders, yet their knowledge of passengers and willingness to act prove more useful than the class divisions that define the Glamazonian Express.

Tess and DeeDee turn the coach crew into a rescue team

The Stormaganza leaves the high-speed train without a safe way to stop, and the danger grows as it races toward a crowded destination. Tess and DeeDee respond by moving through the coaches, identifying what still works and convincing people who previously ignored them to help.

That shift is the key to the rescue. The first-class attendants can perform polished safety routines, but the crisis requires improvisation. Tess and DeeDee know how to keep frightened passengers moving, while the rest of the crew contribute the access and equipment needed to carry out the final plan.

President Gagwell finally takes command

President Gagwell begins as another layer of the movie’s political satire. Her public image and absurd Oval Office machinery are built for punchlines, but the emergency eventually forces her to make an actual decision rather than simply perform confidence for cameras.

Donna Dusk also matters from train headquarters because she recognizes the threat early and keeps trying to guide the response. Her warnings connect the people on the train with officials who can change the route and reduce the damage waiting ahead.

The ending makes cooperation the real punchline

The rescue works because no single comic hero gets exclusive credit. The passengers, attendants and officials combine their separate pieces of information while Tess and DeeDee keep the plan moving. The Glamazonian Express is saved, and the disaster that seemed inevitable becomes the film’s final collective gag.

That outcome also settles the friends’ conflict. The crisis briefly exposes their different ambitions, but saving the train reminds them that their partnership is stronger than the glamorous job they wanted. They earn recognition without becoming copies of the first-class crew.

The finale is deliberately ridiculous, but its point is clear: the people treated as disposable are the ones who understand how to protect everyone else. Did Tess and DeeDee deserve permanent jobs on the Glamazonian Express after the rescue? Share your answer in the comments.
