Plot

“Dustfall” follows Antigone “Tig” Pollard, an experienced detective who returns to her coastal hometown after years away. Her investigation begins when 18-year-old Edie is discovered naked in a sugarcane field with no memory of what happened to her.

As Tig investigates the suspected sexual assault, she uncovers a series of disturbing incidents involving drink spiking and abuse. However, the case becomes more complicated when one of the main suspects is found dead, raising questions about who is responsible and how many people are involved.

The investigation also forces Tig to confront painful memories from her own adolescence when someone from her past resurfaces. As she searches for answers, she encounters a community where victims struggle to be believed and powerful individuals can avoid accountability.

Filmed on Australia’s Gold Coast, the series uses its tropical coastal setting to create an unsettling atmosphere around the investigation. The story explores how hidden crimes, personal trauma and failures within the justice system affect both victims and investigators.
