Apple TV has expanded its movie library with more than 15 popular films, giving subscribers a much larger selection to watch before the service begins rolling out its major fall 2026 movie lineup. The newly added movies are available as part of the Apple TV subscription in supported regions, although the exact selection varies by country.
Apple usually focuses heavily on Apple Originals, but its latest update adds a collection of licensed movies that includes science fiction, comedy, drama, action and several major Hollywood hits. In the US, subscribers can find the collection through the “Great Movies Available Now on Apple TV” section.

Apple has not confirmed how long these licensed movies will remain available, so some titles could eventually leave the service. The company previously experimented with adding licensed films alongside its originals, while this latest collection gives subscribers considerably more movies to choose from.
Apple TV has six new movies coming this fall
The expanded library arrives just before Apple starts releasing another wave of original movies, with six films currently scheduled between September and November.
The upcoming Apple TV fall movie lineup includes:
- September 4: Mayday
- October 2: The Last First: Winter K2
- October 9: Matchbox The Movie
- October 16: Tenzing
- November 13: Being Heumann
- November 25: Way of the Warrior Kid
The schedule gives Apple TV a steady stream of movies through the fall, ranging from Ryan Reynolds’ action comedy Mayday and John Cena’s Matchbox The Movie to documentaries and awards-focused projects such as Tenzing and Being Heumann.
