The Rings of Power Season 3 will premiere on Prime Video on November 11, 2026, bringing viewers back to a Middle-earth already consumed by war.
Prime Video will release the first four episodes together, followed by two episodes on November 18. The final two episodes will arrive on November 25, completing the eight-episode season within three weeks.

What will happen in The Rings of Power Season 3?
Spoilers ahead for The Rings of Power Season 2.
Season 3 takes place five years after the fall of Eregion, with Sauron’s armies spreading across Middle-earth and destroying almost everything in their path. Lindon, Rivendell and Khazad-dûm remain among the few places that continue to resist his growing power.
Meanwhile, Sauron has completed Barad-dûr in Mordor and is working to create the One Ring, which he plans to use to control the other rings and dominate Middle-earth. The Elves, Dwarves, Men and Wizards must form new alliances before his plan becomes unstoppable.
Season 2 ended with the destruction of Eregion and the death of Celebrimbor after Sauron manipulated him into forging the Rings of Power. Galadriel survived her confrontation with Sauron, while Elrond and the remaining Elves began establishing a new refuge that will become Rivendell.
New characters will expand the Middle-earth story
Jamie Campbell Bower joins Season 3 as Celeborn, Galadriel’s long-missing husband. The story will also introduce Zubin Varla as Khamûl, one of Sauron’s future Ringwraiths, while Simon Pegg will provide the voice of the Balrog.
Eddie Marsan will play Thrain, the older brother of Durin IV, and Andrew Richardson will appear as Anárion, the younger son of Elendil. Charlie Vickers, Morfydd Clark, Robert Aramayo, Daniel Weyman, Owain Arthur and Cynthia Addai-Robinson will return in their established roles.
