The computational demands placed on a mobile device, like an iPhone, are staggering. The iPhone 7 camera system performs 100 billion operations on each photo in 25 milliseconds. Plus, strong, fast encryption, facial recognition and fingerprint recognition, to name a few, are technologies that haven’t been paramount on the desktop or notebook.
